the junk in our trunks: chair

I have had this chair now for about 6 months, in many different stages of her makeover. I finally finished her up, after weeks of her staring at me and taunting me. I showed her.

This is how she started. The pictures don't do the fabric justice on how gross it truly was.

She then sat like this for a while. My creative Dad had the idea to take the back from the ladder back chair, that my large bootie broke, and use it to fill in the center of the frame.

So she sat in this state for a few more months.

And finally!

I re-upholsterd the seat with a painters tarp that I painted with this great french logo which can be found here,

a little blue

so i have been wanting to keep learning more about re-upholstering, so any project i can find i jump on it.
i found a cute little three legged chair at a sale, i checked it out, as if i were going to potential marry this chair. it seemed do able. i was most worried about the surgical procedure of getting that fourth leg back on. so i loaded him up and he joined our home. here is his pre-op pictures.
