Where it all began.

This was my very first piano, I did out of boredom.

A part of me wishes I would of kept it, but oh well!

life is a bowl of cherries

This little guy off to the right was the before for this project. It arrived in pieces, because this poor fellow fell of the truck. He broke both legs, his book board and back the top flat piece.

I had some work to do.

With a bit of recovery and some cleaning up, he turned out quite

cherry!

I also just finished up a baby grand. The owner just wanted a toned down white. The previous finish was a honey stain that had seen better days.

Well here it is.

 This is a kind of before. I had already sanded it down, (actually my husband did, but we are married and that makes us one, so it is like I sanded it.)

 There is actually a very minor distressing around the edges. I apologize once again for the beautiful scenery, it is hard moving a piano and being semi big pregnant, so please feel free to picture these where ever you see fit.

I have a great hutch I found, never have I seen anything like this before. So hopefully I will have something other than pianos coming up.

Well hello Kimball

 So my Evelyn was out talking to me while I was working on my latest project.
She asked me, "why does the piano say Kimball all over it?"
I replied, "that is the pianos name."
I see her walk over to the piano and say, "well hello there Kimball."

He was a bit 70's

It has been a joy Kimball.

Black Beauty

here is the before of my first baby grand. i had some better pictures, to show the rough condition this guy was in, but my computer caught an unfortunate virus.

before (check the bench out in the back)

two more rungs were added so baskets could be placed on the bottom, of

the newly upholstered bench.

wood appliques were added to give some dimension to the bland piano.

 the book holder before was just a large rectangle. my sweet dad shaped it to match the lines of the appliques. i think it came out quite lovely.

i have finished my latest piano makeover. it actually went a lot easier than expected, thanks to my new paint sprayer. here is a before

i decided to go red with a black antiquing glaze. here is the red before the glaze. i think the red is fun without

the glaze as well.

 just picture this piano in a green field of flowing grass, surrounded by a white fence and an old matching red barn off in the distance.

moving a piano around is not easy.
