one of those projects.

I have this great dresser that I love the simplicity of. I just can't figure out what I like.

did not love the flowers.


Liked and should have left alone, but I didn't UUUGGGHHHH!

Thought I would distress and it turned out YUCK!

I tried to redo the bright colors and am not pleased. This dresser is going to be done totally different. It has just been one of those projects.

    Oh that's too bad...I like the brighter one too! The distressed chest has potential tho, so don't give up the ship! Sometimes you learn the most from your "mistakes." I'll have to stay tuned to see what you do...!

    Wow...What talent!! I too like the brighter one best, but things look different in pictures..Have you gone over it with any wax or some other type of top coat? I bet a glossy finisih will again change the look! :)

    Oh bummer! What if you tried to give it a little antique stain...maybe just go all of the way with the distressed and aged look??? Good luck - some of them are just those kinds of projects!!

    I don't mind the distressed look - it makes it seem like it could have been painted in the loved-up 60s and has come down through the ages as a vintage treasure to you! Chin up - you can paint and there's plenty of us who love it no matter what. x

      PS I do like the distressed-but I think you prefer the more colorful one. In that case, just go over the colors again, and you're good. It's a perfect design!
