In the family

Once upon a time 30+ years ago my sweet dad built my lovely mother a very solid hutch.
Mom and Dad

This hutch was always a fixture some where in our family home through out the years.

My older sisters (pictured above), and they are oooollllllddddd now so that gives you an idea of how long this guy has been around.
Some time in my late teens, this hutch became mine. This large, heavy piece has traveled to over a dozen homes, and has been several colors over the years.
Well we just moved to a smaller home and I did not want to get rid of it. So I turned it into our new/old entertainment cabinet. I love the way this turned out.

I painted the back black to blend the TV.
Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Oh I love it Katty, It brought a tear to my eye. I will share it with dad. That is aunt Chris holding Patrick in the 1979 photo taken at our Virginia Street home in El Segundo. Now the old hutch is back where it started in good ole Truckee. Welcome home hutch.
