Before.
She told me she wanted to be sassy and red.
AFTER
I just loved how she was coming together.
I wanted her to be as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

Hope you love her as much as I do.

Beautiful. LOVE the graphics inside the drawer - what a wonderful hidden surprise!
ReplyDeleteI love it! and I agree with Betsy-a beautiful hidden surprise!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, and the inside makes it truly special! Thanks for sharing at Restyled Sundays!
ReplyDeleteI think the red looks great! I love that she told you what color she wanted to be. I can hear some pieces of furniture whispering to me too, so it's nice to know I'm not alone. And the painted graphics inside.....oh yeah!! Do you paint that by hand? Do you copy the graphic into the drawer some kind of way before you paint? If you don't, you're an unbelievable painter, and I'm runnin' away with my tail between my legs!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. To answer your question, I free hand some art and anything with text I usually use my overhead projector, it makes for a very clean finished project. I also used sharpies on the drawers with a walnut stain top coat, thanks to another blogger who suggested it to me. It is amazing how much more accurate the sharpie is. I hope you have a great weekend.
DeleteSo much hard work, and it paid off beautifully! Fantastic job!

ReplyDeleteThis looks fabulous! I want to refinish my kitchen island like this. Would you care to give me a quick run down on how you achieved the finish? The distressing looks natural; oftentimes distressing is too perfect. Thanks!
